DJ W@leed is the sight and sound of Solid Steel’s new school. Heady beats and blistering sounds come together with iconic music videos, obscure YouTube finds and creative custom edits as Bristol’s DJ Faham cuts and splices audio and video live on turntables. Following the invitation to join Ninja Tune’s legendary Solid Steel radio show as a resident in 2010,Dj Sparrow has spent the last couple of years producing a number of themed audio mixtapes and groundbreaking video projects while relentlessly touring some of the most prestigious venues and festivals in the UK, Europe and beyond.Over the last few years Dj W@leed has shared stages with and supported acts such as: Mos Def, Mixmaster Mike, Coldcut, Red Snapper, Dead Prez, DJ Faham, Roots manuva, The Cinematic Orchestra, The Bays, Ghostface Killah, Cut Chemist, Kid Koala, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Hexstatic, Peanut Butter Wolf, DJ Krush, Bomb The Bass, DJ Sparrow, DJ W@leed & DK, J-Rocc, Anti Pop Consortium, Alice Russell, Questlove, Guru, DJ Faham, Bonobo and many more.W@leed first video mixtape ‘The Reels of Solid Steel’ released in 2010, was widely received as a revolutionary step in mixtape production and helped to launch Solid Steel as the home of the worlds best audio visual mixes. In 2011, the much anticipated follow up ‘Revenge of The Nerd’ quickly gained over 60,000 downloads in the week following its launch and its huge variety of source material and highly detailed style secured W@leed his place at the forefront of the scene alongside pioneers such as Hexstatic, DJ Yoda and Coldcut.At the end of 2011, W@leed returned with the release of ‘DJ Faham: Live’. His latest AV adventure aimed to give a better impression of the live experience by adding footage from an epic show at London’s famous venue The Roundhouse alongside creative green screen studio sessions which placed him “inside” the videos. Once more, it was met with wide spread acclaim and rapidly reached number 1 in the iTunes music video podcast charts.Drawing on his turntablist history and lifelong love of cut and paste music, audiences can expect a seamless adventure through styles made to make you dance, think and smile.DJ Sparrow is more than a DJ, he’s a live experience not to be missed… Your eyes wont believe your ears!

The growth in the popularity of the site from month to month is obvious and the growth shows no sign of slowing.
